Looking for love in all the wrong vocations?
Models are hot but do you really want to take one home to meet your mother? And if you're hanging around Young Liberals of Canada meetings hoping to hook up, you might want to swing by the hospital instead.
According to a Fastlife.ca survey there are professions that are sexy, and then there are those that are dateable. And men and women don't always agree.
Both sexes deemed doctors were the most worthy of dinner and a movie. But 92 per cent of men would date a catwalk cutie while only 56 per cent of women would.
Only a few guys want girls to light their fire (28 per cent) but women consider firefighters to be in the top five dateable professions. (It must be the big hose.)
Women follow their head, not their hormones, when it comes to choosing a mate: Few find accountants sexy (28 per cent) but most (78 per cent) would date one. And while we'll bat our eyes at a hunky bartender we actually find them the least sexy (seven per cent) of all careers.
Men on the other hand are slaves to sexy stereotypes. Not surprisingly aside from MDs (maybe it's the "turn your head and cough" fantasy) rounding out their top five dateable professions are models, air hostesses, dancers and musicians.
